What Was Your Opinion Of Last Night’s Oscars?
I thought overall they were a pretty bad failure, BUT there were some great moments. I thought Martin and Baldwin did a good job hosting, (and I’m not usually a fan of Martin’s hosting abilities), and it ran pretty smoothly until about halfway through. It soon got boring, the “throwback” feel hurt the oscars, (and how could they not learn anything about last year, one of the best reviewed oscars in years?). The “dance” montage to the original scores was just plain odd, and the final moments, which should have been marked by suspense and a step back to comment on the winners was marred by the Oscars trying to rush through the most important awards of the night. The way Tom Hanks revealed the Hurt Locker won the top prize was near criminal. What were your thoughts?

Just like you said. It’s criminal – as usual. I usually didn’t watch the ceremony. I watch the red carpet to see who wears what. Now it’s getting to be boring. They all look alike. No originality like Bjork pulling the Swan dress. Probably will not watch it next year.
They were good except for the dancers didn’t have anything to do with the oscars and the director had a vision of keeping it simple I though the Hurt locker winning was a good step. better than Avatar.
