Cheap web hosting. What is a good cheap web hosting company to use to host a new web site?

I am wonting to lauch a web site and need good reliable cheap web hosting. Any idea who the best hosting company is?

1        I’d recommend Fatcow. FatCow offers very fast and highest uptime website hosting deals. I’ve hosted a few websites on their servers, so far no problems at all. Their technical support at the server end is very prompt and they are quick in any resolution. Unlike many other big names who are expensive and at the same time their turn-around time for any issue is pretty longer. I’m happy with FatCow. >>

2        The cheapest hosting I’ve found is http://www.webhostingpad.com/5494.html  offers free wordpress auto install. They have plans that start as low as $1.99 a month and offer a 30 day money back guarantee!! They have web designing programs that are easy to use and look very professional.

How do you transfera domain name a freewebs website?

If i bought a domain name from another website but my web site is from free webs what do i do.

1        ask freewebs http://members.webs.com/pages/contact/ how to do that
they create subdomain(s)
which are not actually domains
and hence it may not be a simple domain transfer

if your freeweb domain has traffic, i hope freeweb people can transfer traffic to your domain.

How do I link my Godaddy domain name straight to my Youtube site?

I own a Domain Name and want it to pull up my youtube page when a person goes to it since I don’t have a website yet. Any ideas as to how to do this? Thanks!

1        Place the following HTML redirect code between the <HEAD> and </HEAD> tags of your HTML code.

<meta HTTP-EQUIV=”REFRESH” content=”0; url=http://www.youtube.com/”>

2        At godaddy there is a tutorial on how to forward a domain. This is what you want. You can find it here http://help.godaddy.com/article/2227

When you are logged in you just follow the steps to “redirect’ your domain name to the url you want it to. Simple settings in your godaddy domain managment area.

How can I get a free domain name with website hosting?

Hi,I want to get a free domain name and web hosting because my friends and I are opening a business and we would like a website. Also, to sell food “lemonade-stand-style” would you need a license or something??? But more importantly, how can I get a free domain name and/or web hosting? We don’t have a credit card just so you know.

BTW – in case it helps, at least 30% of our profits are going to charities.

How do I find who my domain name is currently registered with?

In my job, I’ve inherited responsibility for a website that was set-up long before I started working here. There are no records as to who the domain name is registered with and what the domain’s passwords, etc, are. We’re about to shift to a new hosting company and I need to know this info – how can I find out? Thanks

1        Or you could simply go to Whois.net. It is possible, however, that the registar that the domain was registered with, has protected the information of the person who registered it. Best of luck!
