Need to subnetwork 150.134.0.0 into 15 subnets with 1000 hosts? Should I use 255.240.0.0 ?
1 Nope.
It’s class B subnet still. <– let me clarify, your IP is class B
150.134.0.0/20
subnet = 255.255.240.0
that equals 16 subnets and gives you about 4096 total hosts/nodes

Becoming Your Own Affordable Hosting Reseller Expert
If you’re already a webmaster who’s experienced managing multiple domains – and yes, this means assigning user access levels to friends and family so they could play around in the web space you’ve purchased – you may have done just enough research to make you an efficient hosting reseller. You must also have gotten an idea how hot an affordable hosting reseller outfit could be in the market today. Why not think about taking the next step and becoming a web space reseller as well?
And it’s not enough to be just any reseller – to give yourself an edge in the market, you must first of all be an affordable hosting reseller. You have to offer unique services, or at the very least premium features at premium prices, otherwise you’ll fail to catch the attention of your prospective customers. No doubt many other webmasters out there have been around and seen what makes reseller accounts look so attractive. You need to do your own research and see what will give you an advantage over other resellers.
So how do you become an in-demand reseller? First of all, you need to define your market. What kind of users are you targeting – small business owners, private individuals, or large organizations and corporate entities? It’s important for you to keep your potential customers at the forefront of all your planning, because their needs will shape the way you customize the packages you aim to resell.
Many resellers make it a point to target specific sectors, like people who want to be able to host multiple domains for their personal websites, or people who want the extended functionalities of online store hosting. People will react better to your sales pitch when they hear that you are offering exactly the features they need, at exactly the budget they have. It would be beneficial to draw on your webmastering experience for this.
This leads us to the next step: make a tally of the things your outfit has to offer. Then, out of that list, check the features you have that aren’t offered by many other resellers who cater to your target market.
After you’ve defined what would make your web space uniquely sellable, draft a marketing plan. How do you plan to come across as an reliable and affordable hosting reseller outfit? One way to go about this is to be liberal with promos and limited offers. Sure it may mean limited profit, but remember you’re just starting off – when you’ve already established your footing in the market, the customers you were able to attract with your promos will end up being the customers you’ll be keeping for the long haul.

UK Reseller Web Hosting: Friendly Services at Friendly Rates
Thinking of offering a web-based service? Perhaps you’re a webmaster who’s already gained enough experience in hosting different domains, and are ready to take the next step in webmastering. If so, UK reseller web hosting is the business for you!
“Friendly” services are a given – if you wish to address a UK clientele, it would be beneficial to be a UK reseller web hosting outfit, yourself. Be physically present to conduct your market research, know what your clientele needs and draft a plan of the features and offers that would make your reseller company great! Being able to address your clientele’s needs in an amiable manner gets you the privilege of being localized, and this alone is an advantage you can enjoy among other web hosts.
But how can you offer “friendly” rates? It seems that with all the resellers competing for the individual buyer’s attention, rates can be quite cutthroat. Even if you offer top-of-the-line customer service functionalities, how will you be able to market them if potential customers are driven away by your high prices?
Well, there are a couple of things that smart resellers do to drive down their own operational costs, and still maintain a good profit margin. One of them is to recruit the services of a locally based web host that already offers competitive hosting rates, and already enjoys a good reputation locally. The web host’s name itself should be a good draw. Say for example, you’re pitching in for “Company X,” a popular web host – you can focus on the marketing end and put up websites that celebrate Company X’s virtues as a web host. “We have our hip websites hosted on Company X! Come join us!” or a variation of this come-hither call could be quite an effective sales pitch!
As a reseller, however, this method makes you obscure and incapable of establishing your own brand name. If you want to make a mark in cyberspace as a unique reseller, you should look for a brandable reseller account. Unfortunately, brandable reseller accounts may come at a high price locally.
And this is why you should consider signing up the services of a reliable web host from another, lower-cost country. In fact, this is what many reseller outfits do in order to maximize their earnings. Be conscious of the kind of account you get: you need to get a brandable reseller account, which means you can market your services not just as a UK reseller web hosting outfit, but also a web host, even if the truth is, the maintenance work is done by the offshore web host.

Why Can’t Others See My Website?
so i’ve registered my domain, have a static IP, have apache hosting, forward my ports on the router, and forwarded my url to my home IP… yet my website can only be seen on my computer.
What could I have done wrong? or what needs to be done?
